Whew! It's been a crazy week and weekend! I'm finally home from a work trip and then a little stop in Atlanta for a couple of Braves game. I've been trying to catch up on laundry and grocery shopping! For this week's 2 Sketches 4 You it's my turn to do the bonus sketch. I hope you'll head over to 2 Sketches 4 You and try it out!
And here's my card using stamps from this week's sponsor, Paper Makeup Stamps.

EBTKS #22
It's time for another EBTKS! Winter has come up with a great one for us...
This was actually harder for me because I really don't put anything in my hair. I did, very surprisingly, find this in one of my drawers.
I just took out that awesome huge bling to add to my ribbon!
Our sponsor for this challenge is Some Odd Girl!
They have some super cute trendy images. I choose to use their Tree.
So come check out the current challenge and what the other girls made for this challenge!

There is something about gray and orange that really make me think modern!

2 Sketches 4 You #60
It's Monday and that means it's time for a new 2 Sketches 4 You challenge. Laura's got a great one cooked up for us this week:
I know you're certainly going to want this prize! It's a 2S4Y guest design team spot! So come play along.
I have been so eager to use my new Jennie Bowlin Family Tree 4x4 papers. I thought this sketch would be perfect for using several of the cute patterns.

Seriously Love You
Hey there. Happy Saturday! I've got a super busy day ahead of me, but I wanted to pop over to show this little card I made.
It's a very simple card, but there's something nice about a simple card especially when you're using a massive bow.

It's Glitz Time
Is anyone else counting down the days until they can get their hands on the new Glitz collections? I know I am, but in the mean time I'm still having fun using Maya Collection and Vintage Find Whatnots.
For this first project I wanted to make a little treat container, and I had to use some pixie sticks (somehow I'm the only one that has never out-grown pixie sticks).

For my next project I wanted to use one of the Vintage Find Whatnots with a dyed doily. I love this Distressed Couture patterned paper for card making. The scale of the design works so well on cards.

2 Sketches 4 You #59
It's 2 Sketches time! Kazan has whipped up an awesome little sketch for us this week.
This week's sponsor is AI Factory. I got to use this image of a caterpillar from Hang in There. One thing I'm already loving about being on the 2 Sketches team, is practicing my coloring skills (or lack there of). It really is so relaxing.
One tip on printing digital stamps. I have a stack of 4x6 cardstock cut and ready to put in my photo printer slot. I like the fact that I don't have to waist a whole sheet of paper when I just need a quarter (or smaller) section of it.
Here's what I came up with!
I used my white chalk ink to stamp my large dots from For the Love of Dots. Unfortunately it did not cover as well as I would have like. It seems that craft ink works a lot better on cork.

EBTKS Challenge 21
It's time for another EBTKS challenge! Kelly has a great inspiration for us this week:
Who knew you could get inspiration while washing your clothes! EBTKS is all about find inspiration in our everyday lives. Here's this challenge's sketch:
I wasn't exactly sure where this sketch was going to take me, but I'm very satisfied with the result. However, it was certainly a journey and if you watch the video below you'll kind of see that what I think I'm going to end up with isn't always what happens.
At some point during the creative process I realized this card might make an interesting video (or maybe not, but I made one).
Or you can watch it at YouTube here.
The idea of the flowers comes completely from my buddy Shemaine at Love My Tapes! You can see her video here. Speaking of Love My Tapes, we are currently out of our Fabric Tapes in the Practicing Creativity store, but there are more on their way very soon! But don't worry, this week's sponsor is Love My Tapes!
This week's winner will win a 4 pack of their super strong adhesive (seriously this stuff will hold microbeads), 1 roll of fabric tape, and 1 sheet of fabric paper!
And I know you are going to want to go check out what the other girls made with Kelly's fab sketch! Come play along with us at EBTKS!

CARDS Magazine Publications
Anyone else glad it's Thursday? For some reason Thursday always makes me think about my friend Lindsay. We used to work together, and our office space didn't have offices rather everyone was in the large room (there were about 8 of us). It's sounds weird, but it was a super cool office. Anyways, Lindsay would always say Thursday was her favorite day of the week, because Friday was obviously a great day, she'd rather focus on making Thursday her official "favorite" day of the week. I've decided today, that Thursday is going to be my favorite day this week (it doesn't really have much competition so far this week)!
Today I wanted to show you some of my CARDS magazine publications from June and July. This card is the first card I got published using a Practicing Creativity set! I used Key to My Heart on this card, and I still really love this card. It was first published on my blog during the Key to My Heart release.
I remember how much I loved creating patterns with Key to my heart and these patterned papers.
The next card is in the July issue of CARDS. I used the American Crafts Abode collection.
I wish you could see it in person to see all the dimension the little houses I cut out have!
You can check out CARDS magazine here! They are always great to work with.

Fabric Tape Tutorial
Happy Tuesday! I got several questions about our new fabric tape in the store. So I made a quick tutorial on just one way to use it. There are really so many other ways. I saw some beautiful flowers made with fabric tape at CHA as well.
You can also view it on YouTube here.
Here's the card I used for the video.
Supplies:
Stamps: The Whole Cycle, Chatterbox (Practicing Creativity)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Cardstock: Sweet Corn (Gina K), Solar White (Neenah)
Patterned Paper: Holiday (Studio Calico)
Fabric Tape: Lemon Gingham (Love My Tapes)
Create:
1. Make card from cardstock.
2. Cut patterned paper slightly smaller and adhere.
3. Stamp bike, basket and flowers. Color bike and flowers.
4. Paper piece basket.
5. Stamp sentiment. Adhere piece.
6. Adhere fabric tape, making three ruffles, sew along fabric tape.
I know two straight days with Copics... weird.
You can also view it on YouTube here.

2 Sketches 4 You #59
It's time for another fabulous sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You! It's so fun to see what each week is going to deliver. This week's sponsor is Character Cafe.
I do have to admit a little problem I have. Since we got Maddie (our super cute Yorkie), I'm kind of addicted to anything dog related. The main problem is I usually don't use the dog related supplies. But it's just so stinking cute. So this week when there was an option of a dog digital stamp, of course I had to choose it!
Here's this week's sketch by Laura:
And here's my super cute doggie. And you all know my lack of skills with Copics, but I really enjoy the actual therapy of just coloring.
Come check out what the other Design Team Member made and come play along, here.

Store Update
Just a quick post to let you know that we are currently sold out of Chatterbox, but we've already got more coming!
Also, I've gotten several questions about the fabric tape we are carrying. I'm planning to make a quick video this weekend so you can see it in action! In the mean time here are two cards I've made using it: here and here.
