Release Week Winners

Hey there! Super excited to show you a couple of more products we'll be carrying in the store this release, but first you'll want to watch this Crinkly Stained Ribbon tutorial video by my friend Ashley Newell.

You can also watch the video here.

We'll be carrying all the supplies you need at the store to create your own crinkly ribbon! Ivory Silk and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist!
And more glimmer mist colors! I've already made some of my own ribbon and it's just so fun! Seriously you'll love having control of your colors! Here's the card where I used some of my Honey Dew Mist to make my own crinkly ribbon!

And now for our winners!

The Whole Cycle and Chatterbox

Hey there! The Design Team and I have a special post today. We've all made project that aren't cards! I think you are going to love seeing the many uses for Chatterbox and The Whole Cycle. Before we get to that I wanted to show you the video I did showing of the interactive pieces of The Whole Cycle.

You can also watch it over on YouTube here.

For my project I decided to make a scrapbook page. I've been really into scrapbooking lately.

To make my page, I first started with a 12x12 sheet of cardstock and made faint lines on my paper to evenly stamp my bikes.
I then stamped the image.
I took a stripe of green cardstock and cut fringe across it. I just rolled it with my fingers for some dimension.
I stamped a row of "tires" from The Whole Cycle on yellow cardstock.

For my last stripe of green (I used three different shades), I covered it with adhesive and covered with microbeads. I haven't do this in forever, but I so love the look!
I added my own handwriting and now wish I would have taken the time to print it off, but I know I'll enjoy passing own my own writing one day!

I know you are going to love what the Design Team came up with....
Karen made the cutest little bag and tag using For the Love of Dots, Chatterbox, and The Whole Cycle! Don't you love how she used the different neutrals! Ahh...
Dana made this amazing wagon! Isn't it just so cute! I love how she used the sentiments from Chatterbox to create the little border around the top of the wagon! You'll want to check out her blog for the pattern!
Paulina made this super cute notepad. I love how she filled her wagon with the flowers. The flowers can be used for the bike, wagon, and wheel barrow!

So tonight's the night! Both sets will be available at 12:00 am eastern time. Both sets are $12.99 each! We'll also be announcing the winners of the two sets this week at 11:00 pm eastern!

What I'd love to know is when you aren't making cards, what are you making? I'd say mine is some kind of home project or scrapbooking!

Introducing The Whole Cycle

Today's a very exciting day for me! Scroll down to see my 2 Sketches for You announcement!

I'm so excited to introduce The Whole Cycle.  So many of you were totally correct in guessing bikes! If you go back and look you'll see some sort of bicycle in every photo from yesterday! This set is just so much fun, and I'm sure you'll see tons of creative ways to use it!

And while we are talking about bikes, I thought I'd share with you my favorite bike rides. Chase and I got to ride bikes down the volcano in Maui for our honeymoon. It honestly was a little scary at first, but it's been one of my favorite vacation memories ever!

So, do you want to see The Whole Cycle in action? You all know that I just love vintage images, so I had to start off with this vintage bike. I created the background using one of the "tires" included in the set. And check out that ribbon! If you've ever wanted to create your own cabbage rose ribbon with silk, make sure you check in on Wednesday to see the new items we'll be carrying so you can do just that!

And now for the design team! They have created some truly beautiful creations!

I just L-O-V-E this card! Dana totally rocks the largest bike from the set. The basket and flowers are seperate pieces so you can choose to use them or not to, depending on what you are creating for! And don't you love that Seafoam Linen she used? It is honestly my favorite ribbon (and I have A LOT)!

Karen does exactly what I love most about her creations with this card! She has this ability to see something so cool that I NEVER would have through of with a stamp! This card is made from the "tire stamp" that I used above, the back of the stamp, and the "spokes stamp". You'll have to check out Karen's blog for even more details!

Paulina, who I had the huge pleasure of seeing again at CHA, created this gorgeous pattern. I always love how she can create her her own patterned paper with stamps!

We'll be back tomorrow to show you the other set releasing this month! It's sure to be a set that you use again and again!

But before you leave let us know what your favorite memory involving a bicycle!
