I finished almost all of my December Daily album. I'll be posting the pages on here this week. When I started this process I really thought we would have tons of "Christmas" pictures, but in reality there are a lot of just "normal" days. I'm not 100% sure I will do this again. However, if I had kids, I would!

bonus room project.

I have another home project that I worked on over the holiday. My friend Sarah helped me recover my enormous ottoman.

Chase and I bought it when we got married at a yard sale. It was perfect for two poor kids! We no longer have the couch it goes with, but we don't have a coffee table, and since it is in our bonus room we love to be comfy in front of the tv.

I actually thought I would take on this project myself, until I realized that fabric was not nearly wide enough. I needed the help of someone who could sew... Sarah to the rescue!

december daily, day 3 and 4

Yes, I finally got time to add my pictures to my December Daily album. These pages are only 5.5 x 5.5, so that creates some challenges, but when you do get an idea it's easy to complete.

Here are December 3rd and 4th. I'm really loving how page 4 came out. My goal is to have this completed in the next week (I'm hoping by typing that it will provide some motivation).

This card was cased from Nichole Heady's heart card. I've loved this card since the moment I saw it. I unfortunately do not have that stamp set (it's on my wish list). So in the mean time I thought I'd use what I did have to make it.

I decided to use an orange from the Tart and Tangy set from Stampin Up. Here's what it looks like:
Unfortunately I didn't have a punch to fit the orange. I could have used one of my nestabilites to do this, but I am lazy. So I used my 1 inch punch and decided they looked enough like flowers without the circle. Here's what they look like:

Like many rooms in my house, I have big plans for the dining room. You probably remember this project we did for the dining room chairs. I think I'm also planning to do some trim work, but I haven't 100% decided. Plus Chase says he isn't doing another project until the spring (I've worn him out this fall/winter).

I did need something for the main wall in there. I had seen this idea on Apartment Therapy or maybe the Martha Stewart design blog, but the plates they used were very modern. I really want a kind of old feel... okay change that to vintage it sounds better.
Most of these came from either Anthropologie or TJ Maxx Home Goods. I would like to add a few more, but I'm just going to wait for the perfect one!

Chase and I are torn on painting the table to match the chairs! What do you think? Leave it or paint it white?

color challenge.

I have a little time off this week , and while I'm waiting for my December Daily pictures to be developed at Wolfe I thought I'd do a color challenge. This is the first kwerner challenge I have done, but I always love her pictures. She comes up with some really cute images for the challenges. Overall her blog is just really great. I am out of rose red, and I would have liked to use a little more of that color, but I made do with the ink I had.
Sorry both images are blurry. I tried to sharpen the above, but it really lost the softness of the grass.
