Introducing The Whole Cycle

Today's a very exciting day for me! Scroll down to see my 2 Sketches for You announcement!

I'm so excited to introduce The Whole Cycle.  So many of you were totally correct in guessing bikes! If you go back and look you'll see some sort of bicycle in every photo from yesterday! This set is just so much fun, and I'm sure you'll see tons of creative ways to use it!

And while we are talking about bikes, I thought I'd share with you my favorite bike rides. Chase and I got to ride bikes down the volcano in Maui for our honeymoon. It honestly was a little scary at first, but it's been one of my favorite vacation memories ever!

So, do you want to see The Whole Cycle in action? You all know that I just love vintage images, so I had to start off with this vintage bike. I created the background using one of the "tires" included in the set. And check out that ribbon! If you've ever wanted to create your own cabbage rose ribbon with silk, make sure you check in on Wednesday to see the new items we'll be carrying so you can do just that!

And now for the design team! They have created some truly beautiful creations!

I just L-O-V-E this card! Dana totally rocks the largest bike from the set. The basket and flowers are seperate pieces so you can choose to use them or not to, depending on what you are creating for! And don't you love that Seafoam Linen she used? It is honestly my favorite ribbon (and I have A LOT)!

Karen does exactly what I love most about her creations with this card! She has this ability to see something so cool that I NEVER would have through of with a stamp! This card is made from the "tire stamp" that I used above, the back of the stamp, and the "spokes stamp". You'll have to check out Karen's blog for even more details!

Paulina, who I had the huge pleasure of seeing again at CHA, created this gorgeous pattern. I always love how she can create her her own patterned paper with stamps!

We'll be back tomorrow to show you the other set releasing this month! It's sure to be a set that you use again and again!

But before you leave let us know what your favorite memory involving a bicycle!

Love the photo of you and hubby in Maui on the bike. Although to scary for me to try.

love the vintage look!!! i used to ride about 25 miles a day with one of my brothers and one of my sisters. we carried our tool kit with us as our bikes were pieced together from parts from the curbside (garbage). there were plenty of pit stops, we used to buy one pop to share and open it with the screwdriver as this was before pop tops!

Such cute cards today! :> Love the bike theme! I hadn't noticed the bike behind you yesterday! And did I read correctly in the first post today that there are 2 releases this week? My favorite memory of a bike is when I learnt myself with the help of my dad!

Ahhh Courtney I am in LOVE with this set already :)

Fav memory, I wanted a BMX bike when I was about 12 and my dad made me get a mountain bike instead so I jumped it anyways and bent the front rim lol! My parents still have it, my dad tells everyone the story!

My bare foot slipped off the pedal and got caught in the front spoke. Of course I crashed and my toe was badly sprained. I remember seeing my Dad run down the hill to me. He scooped me up and carried me back home. My first hero :)

Wow. I love it. I must have this set. Of, my budget is very low, but this must be in mine. I love the old bike.

My lovely huby, at the time my boyfriend, wish for him a new bike, and I thought it's a good idea to get one too (I'm not so good with bikes). So our first ride with our new mountains bikes was other the hills. Yes!
- NO WAY! I'm not good with bikes honey! I can't go up the hill like you.
- "But you have a mountain bike!"
- Sure! Let's go over the fields. That's still my level.

I think my fave is when Brady learned how to ride a tricycle. We taught him how to make siren noises and he pretended to be a bike cop. :D

My dad taught me how to ride a bike and it is one of my greatest childhood memories. He is also the one who bought my son's first bike! Since I just laid him to rest, the memories have been on my mind. This set looks great and I can't wait to see it!
