San Diego Scrapbook

I was hoping to have this scrapbook done tonight, but alas, I just didn't make it as far as I hoped. However, I'm close and I just have to share it. So please excuse the details I'm missing. I'm planning to take this with us next week on our trip and journal while we are there!

This color combo is 100% inspired by Elisa Blaha's wedding. I've always enjoyed her blog, but I'm in love with the colors she picked for her wedding. Unfortunately I don't have ton of orange, so that made things interesting!

I already had this chipboard cover on hand. I just mixed some gray paint and not very well so I could get the "painted" texture.

The first piece is a report card from Jillibean Soup and an overlay beneath it. Next up is a piece I created from a sheet of Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend. There are five strips there that I used the create the paper I wanted.

I also decided I wanted to use some evelopes for this album to stick in fun stuff along the way. I've never done this before, but I think it could be pretty useful! Check out that tiny little Tim Holtz paper clip too! So cute.

Here's where I had to great pretty creative. I was basically out of all of my paper minus a few scraps. Thanks to my sewing machine I got this great piece. I love those colors together.

This page is set up just like page 2. I like trying to duplicate the same style in my mini albums. It's gives it a nice flow, and it is a lot easier to put together!

I think I'll still add some tabs to my pages and a few other details, but so far I'm really enjoying this one!

So have you ever been to San Diego? If you have some great places for us to go, let us know!

Also, only three days left for the first Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge! Don't forget the $25 PTI gift card that's up for grabs!

I love the colors, too! How awesome that you have all the 'bones' together just waiting for you to head out on the trip!! Is Maddie staying at home while you're in San Diego? If so, I bet you'll be in a little withdrawl :)

A few of our favorite:
1. We did a day cruise which took off from the bay where the big cruise ships come in. It was fun and relaxing.
2. Of course the Zoo is AMAZING
3. Coronado Island is beautiful. Hotel Del Coronado is worth walking around and is beautiful. We rented bikes and rode all around the island.

It is our dream to retire in San Diego, this is Jeremy's favorite city in the US! Have fun

I think this is soo cute. What a neat way to preserve memories. Especially when recording them right as they happen. Wish I was 1/10th as organized as you!
