Release Week Begins!

Are you ready to guess? I think this might be my favorite distortion job to date. For those of you that are new to Practicing Creativity, this is an EXTREMELY distorted (although cool in my opinion) image of the set that will release on May 6 at our store.

So what do you think? I think this is my favorite post each month, so let me hear them, the crazier the better!

This is another set that I was completely missing in my collection. I hope you'll feel the same way.

I'll be giving away this set to one person that comments between now and May 5 (there is not a limit on comments).

I hope you all are having a great weekend!

Well you went to town on distorting this one didn't ya!
So after looking like a fool squinting at the screen, looking in close, then far away the only thing I can guess is that it's a Father's Day set or something else masculine?! I thought I could spot the words BBQ, DAD, and DAY but I know I'm probably way off LOL!
Can't wait for a few more peeks...
Hugs,
Aimes

WOW! Great distortion on this one! I was going to say snakeskin backgrounds but only being silly! Great job!

WoW! Am I the first? Ok someone has to be! I'm thinking it is a Dad set.

Brandi said...

I think I see the word DAY and a row of candles???? Is it a birthday set?

Brenda Weaver said...

hmmm....this is a tough one! Those little squares are really throwing me off!
I'm guessing this set has some larger words in it. (the images on the left and the bottom left). Other than that, I'm stumped! I can't wait to see it!

Geez! You did an excellent job on distorting this one. I have no idea. I know there is a background builder (long strip) of some sort.... But no clue as to what this is.... Hmmmmm...

Ok, all I see is the words May Day May Day and I think of a crashing plane, but I know you wouldn't do that! So I'm really hoping for some cool graphic sentiments and some interesting background builders which I think you WILL do! Can't wait!

OMGoodness Courtney!!! I can't even begin to guess! But I know it'll be something cute for sure :)

i'll go with a "dad" set...and maybe some sort of square/checked pattern for the backgrounds.

Ann said...

Looks like an alphabet of some sort. What ever it is, I'm sure I will love it. Your stamps are unique. Take care Ann

or piano keys...

How fun, Courtney!!! To me it seems like a background. Maybe rectangles with different imprints(?) suitable for manly cards :)

This looks fun all distorted! I think it is some letters on the left and backgrounds on the right. Now looking at the letters, my first impression was BAD DAD DAY, which just cracked me up!!!!

This is my first time being around for a release, but I am totally in the dark as to what this could be..lol. I like the idea of getting everyone all worked up trying to figure out what it is..lol

Okay--I have no idea here--but when I first saw it I thought of a Crossword puzzle (little squares). So even if my guess isin't right--there's an idea for you! How fun would that be--a crossword puzzle background with sentiments (or a alphabet to build sentiments) . . . just an idea ;)

Looks like Dad stuff to me - and just in time if it is!

I'm going with Father's Day set.

I'm thinking that this is a set for the guys - BRO, DAD, MAN.

I'd say it's some wording about mother's day! Looking forward to seeing it not distorted! ;-)

Checkerboard or houndstooth?

Dana Gustafson said...

Somehting to do with father's day and some great dad-like backgrounds to go with???

Daniela H. said...

Hmmm...some big letters in there?! I know, I know...not very imaginative of my guessing :-)

Hmmmm. I am thinking it is either a checkerboard pattern set or a Father's Day set. I will be watching for more peeks!

looks like some sentiments- but can't tell what!!! And for the life of me I can't guess what the larger things are- this is going to be fun!

Hmmm... this is really tough!
At first I thought it was an alphabet set... but then I saw there were not enough letters.... Is it a baby set??... with ABC's??

Ahhh... Can't wait to find out!

oh man, at first I thought, it looks like a Tetris screen, hehe, ya know! But then I got to thinking, hmm..looks like a background set of some sort, maybe houndstooth or checkered blocks.

This is tricky...but oh so much fun! I love puzzles! So, if I look at my screen from the side I think I can see the words, BRO, DAD, DAY???? So, I'm thinking it's a set for creating masculine cards??

Merry said...

I thought you had gone over to cross stitching. :-) But now am thinking it's a hairbrush and it's all about a 'bad hair day'.

Amy Kolling said...

Well, I didn't know what to think of this at first......I mean I refreshed and refreshed and the picture was still "weird"!! hehe Can't wait to see it in full view! Love your work!

Diane Jaquay said...

Hee hee, I think Aimes is onto something because I'm seeing BBQ, DAD, and DAY too! I really have no idea though :)

Karen said...

Hmmmmm.....something for Father's Day? Something masculine & something that will build backgrounds? Looking forward to the reveal! :>

Stacie (craft-princess) said...

Something for dad...neckties?? LOL! I have no clue?!

de said...

I'm torn between a Dad theme and a birthday theme. These are so much fun to guess!

Natalie Winterstein said...

Bad hair day? hahaha I have no idea why but that is the first thing that popped into my head! Silly, I know! :)

Summer Braxton said...

I see the word Day, but maybe it's Dad.

Kate Chavez said...

Love your blog. I think this is some sort of "dad day set" with maybe some neckties as the bigger "pieces". Probably way off...but the speculating is lots of fun.

Kim Wilson said...

Does it say HAD BAD DAY? It looks like everyones saying dad so maybe I need a new prescription on my reading glasses lol! Cant wait to see what you have in store Courtney! Im sure its going to be amazing! :)

Kim Wilson said...

Ha ha I went back and looked again and now I see that it says MAN at the bottom so maybe it says bro, dad, day? Maybe your the man? That would be awesome lol! I love funny sayings for men cards because I have a hard time with masculine! :)

Anika said...

I'm going to guess it has something to do with Father's Day or a masculine set of some sort! Can't wait to see the real thing - whatever it is!

Amy Kolling said...

WOW now that I've seen some of the images of this set......COOL!! It fills a void in my masculine stamp arsenal!! Thanks Courtney!

Shirley said...

Looks interesting. Can't really tell what it is yet . . .

Mariana said...

scrapsnsuch@gmail.com said...

Well, I can't guess 'cause I am a little behind on reading blogs this w/e and I already saw your Sunday post :>) I really could not see anything but "day" in your distorted pic!
