Oh Boy!

Do you ever buy paper you love, really love, but never use? That's me and The Boyfriend collection from Cosmo Cricket. I love it I really do. I just have never used it. I think I've made one card. As I was cleaning up some things this weekend I was determined to break it out. It really is so cute.

I think the hardest thing with boy/man cards is that I like to layer, and usually layering is pretty girlie. I mean honestly I rarely make a card without ribbon. If I could put ribbon on a boy card I'd be set. Here it is, simple but I think I like it.



These colors are a little different than I'd normally put together. However there is something about the kinda off color combo that I really like. I think the white helps balance it all out.

Patterned Paper: Fitting In (Cosmo Cricket)
Cardstock: White (Gina K)
Thickers: Daiquiri (American Crafts)
Misc: Crystal Effects (Ranger); White Tread (Coats and Clark)

    You're a stronger woman than I am - I put ribbon on men cards - LOL I can't not. It's not in me. I am starting to get that way with some of the Cosmo Cricket lines - getting them all but not using them .... so I'm trying to be more discerning with what I get - - um...going to try anyway - ha! Love the stitching on here...gives it a fun touch but not too girly.

    I love this, Courtney...always looking for masculine card ideas. I put grosgrain ribbon on guy cards...also use twine as well.

    Hey girl! This is a perfect guy card! I must admit I made my brother-in-law a birthday card a couple of weeks ago and used polka dot ribbon on it! Sooo girly but I didn't care because I liked it!

    You're right on Courtney! I have quite a few paper pages that I LOVE and been waiting for the "right card", which might never come unless I make it happen!

    I like using twine on boys cards! Its still rustic and boyish but it adds just that little something.

    You are not alone, girlie!! I, too, tend to hold on to my most favorite patterned papers!! I can't help it----it's so hard to part with them!!!

    Think I may have to find me some of this paper collection. I make a lot of cards for guys, and I too find it difficult. I think it might be easier with this cute collection. Would make scrapping those "manly" pages easier too I bet!

    Seriously, I have cut into two sheets of this collection of DP that I've owned for AGES! LOL! I can't part with it even though I know it's great for guy cards. I always persuade myself they won't treasure it like I do!!!
    Well you've got me tempted to delve into it a bit more and maybe (just maybe) cut (eek!) a few sheets...
